Macclesfield – Eyesight Test
Driving test from Macclesfield practical test centre in with the examiner asking you to read a number plate from a distance of 20 m. Having successfully read the number plate, you will be asked and vehicle safety question prior to starting the drive. As soon as you leave the test centre, you will find yourself on many busy urban roads. The driving examiner will expect a very high standard of driving, dealing with the road systems such as roundabouts, various junctions and both marked and unmarked crossroads.
Macclesfield – Reversing Exercise
You will be required to carry out one reversing manoeuvre out of a possible two on a public road. This could either be the parallel parking exercise or the examiner may ask you to up on the right side of the road, reverse back for two car lengths before driving off again. Alternatively, the driving examiner may take you into a supermarket car park and request the bay park exercise. Regardless of manoeuvre you get, it is vital to remember that observations before and during reverse exercises are most important.
Macclesfield – Driving On Your Own
A large amount of the driving test at Macclesfield will be set aside for the purpose of the independent driving section. During this part of the test, the driving examiner will place a preprogrammed satnav on the dashboard of the car. He will then be asked or directions from the satnav. Alternatively, the examiner may request that you follow road signs to places such as Henbury, Sutton or Langley. You will usually find yourself at high paced “A” roads such as the A536, A523 and the A537. On these is to roads you will be expected to demonstrate the ability to be able to make progress. However, at the same time, it is important to keep the second gap away from the driver in front. If a situation arises you need to overtake, the driving examiner will this will take but back into your normal driving position at the first safe opportunity.

Manual or Automatic Intensive Driving Lessons
It’s easier to pass your driving test in a week by taking an automatic car compared to a manual. This is because you don’t have the extra task of changing gears, especially on approach to junctions such as roundabouts. This, in turn, means that you will have more time to focus on the speed and observations on the approach to such junctions. Once you’ve passed your driving test in an automatic, you will be restricted to driving only automatics. However, you are most welcome to upgrade to a manual license by retaking and passing another test.
