Nottingham – Four Test Centres

There are four practical test centres within Nottingham. It is extremely important that you check your email confirmation letter to make sure that you arrive at the correct driving test centre. If you arrive late, you were driving test may be cancelled and you will lose your fee.

All four driving test centres in Nottingham have been designed senior examiners who try to incorporate as many different road systems as simple. Nottingham – Eyesight Test

Pass Rate of Nottingham Driving Test Centre

The average pass rate figure of all Nottingham driving test centre has been achieved from the number of attempted driving test booked over the last year at each test centre, by the number of candidates who passed their practical driving test, over the last year.

At Nottingham Colwick driving test centre, 3368 people attempted their driving test, with 1619 people passing, giving the test centre a pass rate of 48.1%.

At Nottingham Clifton driving test centre, 631 people attempted their driving test, with 285 people passing, giving the test centre a pass rate of 45.2%.

At Nottingham Chilwell driving test centre, 2765 people attempted their driving test, with 1203 people passing, giving the test centre a pass rate of 43.5%.

When you book your last minute intensive driving lessons, you will have the choice of learning in an automatic or a manual car. Last year there were over 1.7 million driving tests conducted. Out of these, only about 30% were taken in an automatic car.

Manual or Automatic Intensive Driving Lessons

It’s easier to pass your driving test in a week by taking an automatic car compared to a manual. This is because you don’t have the extra task of changing gears, especially on approach to junctions such as roundabouts. This, in turn, means that you will have more time to focus on the speed and observations on the approach to such junctions. Once you’ve passed your driving test in an automatic, you will be restricted to driving only automatics. However, you are most welcome to upgrade to a manual license by retaking and passing another test.

If you have no problem with the changing of gears, then it would be wise to take your last minute intensive driving lesson and the official driving test in a manual car. Once you’ve passed in a manual car, you will in effect have 2 licenses. An automatic as well as a manual license.
