There is only one bus lane in New Malden which is on Kingston Road. The bus lane is operational from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Please note that only buses, taxis, motorcyclists, and cyclists are allowed to use the bus lane. If you are caught driving in the bus lane in a car, you will be issued a penalty charge notice.

Morden Theory Test Center’s Preferred entrance is in Athena House. The main entrance of this Test Center is disability friendly with manual doors and an intercom. This Test Center is located on the 2nd floor Also there is a Lift that you can access. There is No on-site parking is available at this Test Center. You can reach this Test Center because it is, 2 min walk to the nearest public car park, 1 min walk to the nearest bus stop, 1 minute’s walk to Morden tube station, 11 mins walk to South Merton and Morden South (MDS) train station. My five driving instructors turned me down, they said I am not test ready despite of having many lessons with them and asked me to move my practical test date and do more lessons. They did not allow me to use their car for my test, so I need to move my test date many times. My last instructor said the same as well and asked me to move my test date and do more lessons but I did not listen to him anymore because I know I am test ready and confident. So I contacted DTC 1 week before my test and they provided me car and instructor for my test. And I passed my practical driving test in DTC this afternoon. Many thanks to my instructor for giving me 1 hour lesson before the test and for his good advice.

I had an instructor on my test day and could not have asked for anybody better. He was very patient and made lessons engaging. His simple but clear explanations made it easier to get up to speed quickly and he made sure I was prepared for the test well before the test date. Passed today with 2 minors. Having my instructor was an amazing experience and I would recommend him to anyone trying to pass their driving test, intensive or not. His explanations were very easy to understand yet didn’t bore you by dragging it out. I passed my test this morning first time after some great lessons from my instructor. He made me feel at ease every time I met him. Very easy going, was always patient with me and we would have some laughs in our conversations which made my experience easier. Any time I made a mistake he always took time for us to stop and explain each and everything to me. Thankyou DTC for these great experience.
