The London Borough of Hillingdon is a major borough of west London, United Kingdom. It was formed from the districts of Hayes and Harlington, Ruislip-Northwood, Uxbridge, and Yiewsley and West Drayton, within the County of Middlesex. Today, Hillingdon is the home of Heathrow airport (which runs along the boundary between Hillingdon and Hounslow) and Brunel University, and is the second largest of Londons 32 boroughs in terms of land area. The boroughs principal towns are Hayes, Ruislip, Northwood, West Drayton, and Uxbridge.

Hillingdon is the second least populous London Borough, owing to the combination of the extensive countryside in the north, RAF Northolt Aerodrome, and the larger Heathrow airport. The borough was formed in 1965 from Hayes and Harlington Metropolitan District, the Uxbridge Metropolitan Borough, the Ruislip-Northwood Metropolitan Borough, and Yiewsley and West Drayton Metropolitan Borough, which were previously all within the ceremonial County of Middlesex. The London Borough of Hillingdons coat of arms was granted on 22 March 1965. Between 1973 and 1978, a civic centre was built for the Borough of Hillingdon, at Uxbridge. Hillingdon Council provides local government services within the borough, and has its head office at the Uxbridge Civic Centre.

For administrative purposes, the borough is divided into North Hillingdon and South Hillingdon. The borough has an elected council, known either by its full name or as Hillingdon Council. It is divided into wards represented by 65 Conservative and Labour councillors.

The current Leader of the Council is the Councillor for the West End. Ian Edwards, from the Conservative party. Elections to councillors are held every four years.
