Located on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, the Harlescott Driving Test Centre will involve many different road systems. Currently, the test centre is being used for the testing of Lorries and large vehicles such as buses. Car driving tests may be conducted in the future.

Harlescott – Dual Carriageways

There are several A roads and dual carriageways within the vicinity of the driving test centre. Although the candidates that currently take the test at Harlescott are full license holders, many of fail on the dual carriageways. On these fast-flowing roads, the driving examiner does expect you to make progress if and when the opportunity arises.

Wheelchair users have access to a ramp at Harlescott LGV Driving Test Centre. Both male and female toilets are available. However, no car parking facilities are available. This test centre provides testing for Large Vehicles. It may start conducting car driving tests in the near future.
