Unlike Cambridge Chesterton Road, The Cowley Road Driving Test Centre has a ramp for wheelchair users. Male and female toilet available in waiting area. Furthermore, candidate car parking facilities are available. The test centre offers its services to car, taxi and ADIs.
Cambridge Cowley Road – Dual Carriageways
The practical driving test centre at Cowley Road is situated close to the A14 dual carriageway which is quite often used on the driving test. This dual carriageway will lead onto rural country roads and villages which also form part of the driving test routes. These country roads look pretty but are in fact very challenging. This is mainly due to the high-speed and the unpredictable bends.
Cambridge Cowley Road – Various Junctions
In Cambridge, the driving examiner will take you through busy roads, test your ability to safely deal junctions of all sorts, crossroads and larger roundabouts. Residential roads are frequently used to test your ability a meeting oncoming vehicle. These roads are also used to carry out the reverse manoeuvers. As the Cowley Road driving test centre has marked bay park facilities, the driving examiner may choose to carry out the reverse manoeuvre at the test centre itself. This will either be done at the very start or at the very end of the driving test.
In order to take one of our passes in a week course, you will need to hold a valid UK provisional driving license and have passed your theory test. If you do not have a practical test booked, don’t worry. Simply provide us with your driving license number along with your theory pass certificate number and we will get you a fast-track driving test – If you can need help to book your theory test, this can be arranged for you.
However, please remember that our semi-intensive driving course is designed for learners who have recently failed a practical driving test, international drivers, and those who are almost up to test standard. They are not suitable for the new beginner.
