Exhall is a suburban community in the Nuneaton and Bedworth areas of Warwickshire, England. Historically, Exhall Parish (which stretched from Black Bank in Bedworth northwards into Holbrooks, Coventry) had no defined centre, and was instead made up of many small villages, such as Black Bank, Heys Green, Exhall Hall Green, Wagon Overthrow, Little Bayton, Ash Green, Neils Green, and Newland. Although not mentioned in detail in the Domesday Book, Exhall was likely to form part of land held by Lady Godiva at Ansty and Folleshill.

Although the area has remained mostly rural up to the present day, evidence for coal mining is available from the early 17th century. During the industrial revolution, activities such as coal-mining and brick-making were further developed, leading to a rise in the parishs population, and the building of many small houses for workers.

These were mostly situated along what is now Black Bank/Coventry Road Exhall, Ash Green, and Goodyers End in Bedworth (parts of which are included within the parish of Exhall). From the 1930s, Exhall became more residential, with the building of a number of housing estates, either of social (e.g. Today, the eastern part of Exhall is dominated by the large industrial estate of Bayton Road, containing about 200 businesses.

On February 19, 1949, two planes crashed 4500 feet above Exhall. The debris fell next to the old peoples home, the Exhall Lodge Hospital.

Other industrial areas were later developed on the Black Horse Road and in Grovelands (off Longford Road). Today, the name Exhall principally applies to the area immediately south of Bedworth (centred around Exhall Black Bank and Coventry Road), while Ash Green retained a somewhat separate identity – a fact emphasised by the building of Bedworth bypass (A444) in 1970, and the last stretch of M6 Motorway in 1971. Even today, Ash Green remains much more rural than Exhall, with many farms still operating.
