Car parking facilities are available at this centre which has barrier access. Unfortunately, there is no disabled access to the Cambridge Driving Test Centre. However, special arrangements will be made for test candidates with a disability.

There are two exits from the Chesterton Road driving test centre. The first will lead on to small narrow residential roads, many with closed junctions which are difficult to merge out from. The second exit will take you out onto a one-way system which has multiple lanes.
Cambridge Chesterton Road – Complicated Junctions
The driving examiner will expect you to have a thorough knowledge of how to safely deal with crossroads, junctions of all sorts and roundabouts. The driving test from Chesterton Road will last approximately 40 minutes and will include a large portion of independent driving. During this section of the test, there is a high possibility that you will be taken on dual carriageways such as the A14. The driving test will also involve one reverse manoeuvre and possibly the emergency stop exercise.
In order to take one of our passes in a week course, you will need to hold a valid UK provisional driving license and have passed your theory test. If you do not have a practical test booked, don’t worry. Simply provide us with your driving license number along with your theory pass certificate number and we will get you a fast-track driving test – If you can need help to book your theory test, this can be arranged for you.
However, please remember that our semi-intensive driving course is designed for learners who have recently failed a practical driving test, international drivers, and those who are almost up to test standard. They are not suitable for the new beginner.
