North Evington is a district, a suburban borough, and an administrative subdivision in the City of Leicester, England. North Evington is bordered by Belgrave on the west, Charnwood on the north, Evington and Humberstone and Hamilton on the east, and Spinney Hill on the south.

It is a sub-district of the highfields. It is located on the east side of town. The area contains Leicestershire and Rutland Fire and Rescue Service East station in Hastings Road, Spence Street swimming baths, and Merlyn Waz walk-in care centre and health centre.

The development was initially within Evington Parish, segregated from the village proper. The areas between were later filled. It has been swallowed up by the Highfields township, largely a working-class neighbourhood, with rows of Victorian terraces catering for workers needs.

The area was designed and built by Arthur Wakerley from the 1880s onwards as a suburb. By the first world war, the area had been completely developed. The area, originally outside the boundaries of the Borough, was annexed by Leicester Borough in 1892.
