Intensive Driving Courses in Garretts Green

Our intensive driving courses are conducted by local qualified instructors on a one 2 one basis in a fully dual controlled and insured car.  You will be taught not only to drive but also show you the test routes used by the examiners. Our last minute semi-intensive courses are available in Garretts Green and the surrounding areas.

The 9 or 14-hour driving crash course can be taken over 2 or 3 days. The intensive driving courses offered by DTC are suitable for those learners who have failed a driving test in the past or have an international driving license. They would also suit a learner who already has had several driving lessons and can basically drive to a stand.

This shared medieval pasture at Seldon lies just north of the road at Downsfield and the road at Kenmure, named for the Garrett family. William Garrett was recorded there in 1525.

A village center was centred around the intersection of Garretts Green Lane and Sheldon Heath Road by 1834, but urban development did not start here until shortly before World War II. The area was fully urbanised by 1960, by which time St Thomass church was built to serve an extensive council estate, built in concerted efforts following World War II to remove people from the inner-city housing estates. This large church building, close to the junction of Green Lane in Garratt and Heath Road in Sheldon, was built on the site of the extremely large house, The Chestnuts.
