Fleckney is a village and civic parish in Harborough shire, Leicestershire, England. It is situated 2.5 miles (4 km) west of the national route A6 between Market Harborough and Leicester.

The village appears in the Domesday Book, and remained a small farming community until the 19th century, when it saw development in industry: originally brickmaking, then stockings. The villages historic town center is the hub of amenities for the mostly rural surrounding countryside. Much of the surrounding countryside is made up of small farming communities, which have few amenities, leading to Fleckney being defined by the local council as a village town, benefiting from two general practices, a public library, two public houses, primary schools, a number of grocery shops, and a post office. The local daily newspaper, Fleckney Communicata, is offered for free to local residents. Most of the adult population commutes, though a substantial industrial estate is located in the south of the village.

More than 21% of the villages population is aged between zero and 15, making Fleckney one of the youngest villages in the Harborough area. The village has a local primary school, with older pupils attending Kibworth Upper School. Leicester Grammar School, a separate secondary school, moved in 2007 to nearby village of Great Glen.

The village name likely means Isle of Flyckla, although it is not certain, and Isle of Hurd has also been suggested. Referred to in the Domesday book as Flychenie, the site of only three houses, an ancient mill house on the outskirts of the village is the remains of the brickwork from the 19th century, later the Hosiery Mill. The decorative bricks of Barlows sheds at St Pancras Railway Station were manufactured at Fleckney.

After the Second World War, a succession of new housing developments were built, radiating north and south from the old village centre to the borough boundaries.

The village church sustained roof damage in a major storm in 2012. This was repaired by a donation from a semi-retired local construction worker, among others. The village occupies an area generally level in a gentle rolling hillside of Leicestershire. The Grand Union Canal runs along the east side of the parish, north-south, through the Kibleworth locks and Saddington Tunnel.
