Evington is a constituency in Leicester, England, as well as a division in the electoral college. It was once a small village, centered around Main Street and St Denys Episcopal Church, but was sufficiently near to Leicester that it became one of its outlying suburbs during the 1930s. Today, the ward comprises the historic village of Evington, plus modern former council estates of Rowlatts Hill and Goodwood. The population of the ward was 11,133 in the 2011 census. The name Evington is from the Old English for Farm/settlement at Eafa/Aefa.

The first known spelling Evington is that of Walter de Evington, 1259, who let some carucate of land in Evington Village–about 100 acres (0.40 km2). The parish of Evington was initially fairly large, including what is today known as the north of Evington and Evington valley. These were annexed to the Borough of Leicester in 1892, and are generally not considered to be part of Evington. In 1935, Leicesters boundaries (by then the town) were extended once more, including almost all the remaining wards of Evington, with the exception of a small portion that went into Oadby.

The present-day ward actually includes the largest 1950s housing estates, on Downing Drive and Spencefield Lane. Evington Village has been a conservation area since 1989.
