Over several areas in Scotland are going into tier 4 lockdown from 6 pm on Friday 20th November, this means that driving lessons and driving tests will be suspended until the 11th of December and you can take driving lessons and driving tests legally on the 12th of December and onwards according to the DVSA.
DTC UK has provided you with the 11 Scottish councils, which the new lockdown will be a part of. These include Stirling, West Lothian, South Ayrshire, East Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire, West Dunbartonshire, East Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Glasgow City.
If you are one of the 2.3 million people affected by this and you had a driving test booked in between the new lockdown dates do not worry! DTC UK can get you a test after the current lockdown ends, as well as car hire with a fully qualified driving instructor if your instructor is not available on the day of your test so don’t panic!
Many of our clients who live in these areas want a test as soon as the lockdown has been lifted, which we are more than happy to assist with. However, you should take into consideration how many lessons you still need before your test, so that you are fully prepared and do not go into your driving exam without actually being ready for it.
We recommend that you ask your driving instructor for an indication on remaining practice after the current Scottish lockdown. Furthermore, after discussing this with your instructor you may feel you need a later date than you first presumed and so may be willing to be flexible around your possible test date or month, as well as have a better chance at passing
Whatever your needs DTC UK can certainly help so don’t hesitate to get in touch with us today and remember, stay safe and follow all government rules regarding the new lockdown in your area accordingly!
